Greystone Pool is situated in a lovely rural location within a few minutes drive of the historic fishing ports of Polperro and Looe where you will find good restaurants and lots to see and do. Looe has sandy beaches, art galleries, shopping, it is also renowned for its Shark fishing. Polperro still retains its traditional Cornish charm with narrow streets and charming whitewashed cottages lined along the main street down to the harbour. The southwest coastal path between Looe, Polperro and Polruan has some of Cornwall's finest scenery and is well worth the effort. Allow yourselves around 1.5 to 2 hours for Looe to Polperro. Polperro is a typical Cornish fishing village, narrow streets lined with whitewashed cottages wind their way down to the small but very pretty harbour. Polperro in historic times was renowned for it's smuggling activities, and even to this day many reminders of this still exist.

If you intend to walk the coastal path between Polperro to Polruan, you should allow at least 4 hours. Please note that this stretch of the path is deemed to be the most strenuous part of the whole south east coast path, with some very steep inclines, it not for the faint hearted. On your arrival at Polruan you can quench your thirst at the Lugger Inn located on the quay side of this picturesque estuary village. Whilst in Polruan why not take the foot passenger ferry across the estuary to the town of Fowey (pronounced Foy). The ten-minute trip offers wonderful views of the estuary and will finish your day off to perfection. Further a field there is plenty to see and do. Cornwall's, now world famous Eden Project, historic houses & gardens, animal sanctuaries, angling and deep sea fishing, horse riding, theme parks, inland walks and golf to name but a few ideas.

Explore at your leisure hundreds of almost forgotten villages and coves as well the more popular destinations such as St. Michael's Mount, Lands End or Tintagel, legendary home of King Arthur. Everybody visiting the county can find that special something that appeals, or for which they are seeking. Adventure for the young and serenity for the elderly, it is all here. Cornwall is a county of discovery and there is nothing more enjoyable than setting off in a general direction and happening upon the delights that meet the eye whether it be a picturesque hamlet, a sea view or the general rural beauty of a particular scene.
